 Dr. Pinto is a dentist and a clinical epidemiologist with 19 years of experience in academics, clinical care, and administration.

Clinical training is in the areas of oral medicine, orofacial pain, and the oral management of sleep disordered breathing.

Close clinical and research collaborations with colleagues across multiple knowledge areas including public health, epidemiology, medicine, pediatrics, and basic sciences, within the institution he works in and worldwide.
